Dense phase

The dense phase is a high concentration of product. It moves forward as plugs or dunes. The quantity of air is significantly lower than for the diluted phase (10 to 20x less for the same product) but the head loss is high (transport pressure up to 7 bars)

The SABE pressurised dense phase is to be used for:  

• Medium distances
• A single departure point
• Several destination points
• Abrasive or fragile products

Should be avoided for: 

• Multi-product networks
• Long distances and high speeds

The SABE vacuum dense phase is used for:

• Medium distances
• Several departure points
• Abrasive or fragile products

Should be avoided for:

• Multi-product networks
• Long distances and high flow rates
